SUN enters Capricorn, w gifts/challenges of "personal integrity", "spiritual self-reliance", and bringing themes of 'the materialistic vs the spiritual', and 'responsibility'.

12th house suns and alcoholic parents

Hello all,

I have sun, moon, mercury, and chiron all located in my 12th house - all of which are in gemini. I've been extremely fascinated by the twelfth house seeing as how I have a stellium of planets in there. I came across several articles that all reiterated the same theme of child abandonment and loneliness. Both of my parents are alcoholics, which obviously meant that I lacked a lot of nurturing while growing up and often felt VERY alone. I did read that a lot of people with twelfth house planets, suns especially, often have at least one absent or alcoholic parent. I'm just wondering if any other 12th house natives had alcoholic parents as well? or some other form of addiction?

The Nature of the 12th House: An Exploration..

Now this is probably a bit of a tangent.. but I feel I ought to share it. Because as I write, I begin to better understand the pieces.. and I feel like someone will stumble across it, who needs to hear it. So here goes.

When I think of the houses I can see the cycle. In thinking of the first house, which carries themes of self, ego, survival, personal pursuits, needs and desires, the aggressive energy which constructs, chases and achieves.. I am reminded of what many of you have said, in 'dissolving' boundaries.. I think this is a house of transcendence, that we transcend these boundaries - meaning they are there but they are not limiting, instead they are like references, reminding us where we can 'retreat' to in a healthy way. I think this house asks us to focus on opposite but equally important themes as the first house: a will to merge with others, to share in their joys and sorrows, to empathize to the very core of ourselves.. also to show compassion, compromise, perhaps sacrifice, open mindedness, the bigger picture.. combining the present understanding and foresight of the first house with a deep sense of retrospect and totality.. observation of other lives, of 'the man behind the curtain' - the inner workings of it all..

I like to think of it in three words.. Awareness, Faith and Peace. Awareness asks for an open mind, a humble spirit genuinely in search of the Good and the True.. Awareness allows us to have faith and peace.. It brings us to an understanding, a deep and spiritual knowing that can be our comfort and closure in difficult times, because we recognize that there is a time for everything, a meaning to everything. Awareness is empowerment and responsibility; it bestows us with the ability to choose our transformation.

With awareness, we can discover the beauty and significance of faith. Faith in ourselves first and foremost - so that we do not lead to our own self-undoing.. Faith as the trust in our very nature - what we are, what we can achieve, what we will become, where we will go.. We must have faith in others, that we support them and learn that there is a time for seclusion but also a time to share in every level of experience.. Faith in that we are all essentially good, peaceful, loving, that we have the same needs. Then there is faith in all creation, that we understand there is a purpose to every aspect of existence.. that great truths lie beyond the extent of our senses, perhaps even our rationale..

Finally, peace. Faith can bring us peace. Peace with the painful, peace with what we cannot control, peace with the unknown. Confusion, fear, distrust and chaos seem to be the pervading themes of old descriptions of the 12th house.. In being this peace, we bring peace to all... but the 12th house is the house of spiritual maturity.. For each of us, our journeys will be very different, but all essentially the same.. we can inhabit the darker side of the moon.. We can let our fear, our anger, our sadness control us, so that we shut out eyes and scream in agony, so that we are blinded and truly vulnerable.. but in developing our spirit, becoming aware, faithful and finding a resounding inner peace.. we transcend that which is painful, we move beyond barriers.. We can choose to illuminate, to dive into the abyss of what we do not know or understand without fear.. without loosing sight. We can swim to the bottom until we surface on the other side.. where we discover.. all is well, after all.

What we have discovered on this Piscean pilgrimage we can embody and bring to the world. I believe this is asked of every one of us, in some fashion..

I enjoy the symbollism of the 1st/12th house relationship.. the 1st could be considered where we 'enter' the world, our primal and instinctive nature.. that of individuality.. and the 12th where we transcend.. where we peel back the layers of experience that have led to our soul growth, we are once again our core. Though we do not shed these layers, we embrace them.. the spirit at our core shines through ALL of these layers.. in our conscious thinking, in our social relationships.. and we lean into the unknown, knowing a love and a freedom like no other. Like the poem by Stanley Kunitz, titled Layers, we choose not to "Live in the layers, not on the litter." It is here that the cycle is complete.

These are all spiritual matters, so the 12th seems to be the house of higher and lower selves.. Where we reconcile all polarities, pair the paradoxes.. especially our primal and spiritual natures. In doing so we can truly be "in the world, but not of it."

I don't think the 12th house is something we can truly 'box' in... It is the house that is our every home - in all people, all places and all things.. The spiritual sanctuary within us wherein lies all else and wherein all else we find ourselves. It is a great paradox, that the 12th house can be the house of isolation, self undoing.. or the discovering of ourselves as a part of all things, no matter the desolation; discovering that we are all, at the same time, essentially the same yet essentially different..

With this idea.. of the figure eight, the infinite loop.. the eternal and interconnected.. I am reminded of a fun quote...

"Only that in you.. which is me.. can hear what I am saying". - Ram Dass

My hope is that this food for thought proves filling. :)

help! saturn, mars and uranus Conjunction in 12th house...

Pluto 12th House effects in Adulthood

Hey everyone,

Right now I'm helping someone relocate and am studying her daughter's chart because she may move along with. The bad news for the daughter is that her Pluto relocates into 12th. Trouble is, she's 30 years old and I don't know what the full effect will be on her.

My experience with Pluto 12th was as a child only. My gut feeling at an early age was the get the hell out of there ASAP, and I did! There was nothing but personal injuries, emotional wars (that I always always lost) with people, the destructions of jobs, relationships, physical property, and dreams. Life was like having my plane shot up before it even taxied to the runway. If any of you have lived your adult lives in Pluto's 12th, I need some honest feedback. Are the above things still happening to you? At what ages? With greater or less frequency when older? My only personal friend to poll with this placement has an afflicted Neptune, so she sees everything with rose-colored glasses. She's not had a good life but doesn't seem to notice how bad it's been.

I'm reaching out here so I can recommend for or against relocation. If the destructions are occasional vs. incessant then it's workable.

Is suicide. OMG who among us doesn't know this? It is the ultimate option. It is always the one that ticks rhythmically in my brain day in and day out. If not for it, I would be lost. But, as beautiful as a mathematical constant, there it is. God, I love that. I totally love that it is there like the secret pill in a crevice only I know about. I can't tell you how much that turns me on. Having the option. Marvelous.

ESP ability?

I am curious... the 12 house is associated with different extra-sensory espressions, so I wonder... does anyone else experience extreme sensitivity?

... sorry, I knew I was going to word this poorly.

I have a 12th house moon and South Node, ... generally, I understand people on an instinctual level, have come clairvoyance, some precognition... Other people's motives behind their emotions sometimes seems very transparent.

Any other kooky 12th house folks?

Uranus in 12th - The Lunatic Asylum

Last month in a restaurant with my friend Mary, I watched tears running down her plastic-surgery repaired but scarred cheeks. She was recalling her experiences of living in Colorado for 30 years, and stated that she had uncontrollable nightmares and that her basic behavior had changed there. She was on-edge all of the time, always expected calamities at any moment, and said she moved there as a cool, calm, collected person, but left as a paranoid, panic-stricken, vigilant neurotic who couldn’t sleep at night or trust any situation or anyone.

A little girl she was responsible for while employed as a social worker was locked in a cage by her abusive foster parents, and somehow died in their care. Mary testified at the murder trial but there was not enough evidence, and they were acquitted. The remaining children in their care were not reassigned. Mary was in shock for years from this and is still affected, rightly so. Also, her best friend died in a car crash, and she had two of them herself, one of which left her hospitalized for months. She has been in physical therapy for years, which is no surprise, because I experienced the same effect. Her Astrocartographic map showed the Uranus Asc only a few miles west of her home in Colorado Springs, which corroborated my observation that the closer to this energy line, the stronger the effect. It lies at the West end of the house geographically, a boundary between it and the Uranus 1st house, which I suspect, is equally harrowing. My studies have convinced me that Uranus 12th and 1st near the Asc is the most dangerous placement in the astrological chart. Pluto in 12th is a close second.

I asked her if there were screaming people in her face (as I had found in my own progressed Uranus 12th), and she said yes. In fact, they didn’t attack, they just screamed. In Pluto’s 12th house, they often physically attack outright during and after screaming. And it happens constantly where both planets are here. Mary experienced the same things with negligence from other people in everyday life as well. The fouled-up billings concerning insurance, utilities, medical, government, and other services are not only angering, but maddening in their relentless occurrence and the inability to rectify them. The injuries-- ones that should never have happened will leave disability and lasting problems, even after leaving this house geographically. Mary is only 58 and will limp and groan from pain for the remainder of her life. This is not to be taken lightly.

Last week while doing a relocated chart for my friend Verna, I discovered that she too had Uranus in 12th. Except…. When I asked if she had death and near-death experiences, sudden property damage, and screaming lunatics around her, she said that only the screaming was apparent. A look at her Natal chart showed Jupiter in 12th there, so this verified what others have said….that it offers protection. I’ve seen this protection from Pluto’s 12th house as well, that the violent and miserable childhoods often seen there are mitigated by father Jupiter’s thumb on Pluto. (Yes, Amiable, this is you. LOL)

The house of self-undoing really does have a special task assigned to the planet Uranus. I’ve always called it the “voodoo” planet because the effects are enough to scare us into believing that almost any nightmare that can be imagined can and will become reality. In the 12th house, this planet creates an alternate reality. Uranus in the 12th house causes events to erupt from the depths of karma that bring shock and awe. The manifestations of this energy occur in every realm of life…physical, social, emotional, financial (business), and I’ll make special mention of mechanical things. These energies cause us to unwittingly take actions that set up outlandish circumstances that are unexpected, inescapable, and unavoidable. Circumstances that…most non-12th house people might experience only rarely. The unlucky will have 20, 30, or 40 times the number of wacko incidents from my observation. Living in Uranus’ 12th house is like being sent to live in a lunatic asylum, though you may be the only sane one--- in the beginning. The voodoo of this placement will slowly convert you into one of the patients.

It started as soon as I had arrived in Arizona. It was unnoticeable to me, because I had just left my Natal Pluto 12th area. Mishaps, bad luck, injuries, and hateful people were standard for me--- I’d not realized yet that this is not “normal” because the Pluto 12th House effects are parallel but more predictable. Unfortunately, this blindness kept me in this location far too long, and in hindsight, far too long was 10 minutes. It had nothing to do with the desert or the heat or city itself that so many easily-bored, condescending Arizona-haters whine about; however, it is based on how each individual thrives or fails in certain locations. I now have nothing but contempt for most 12th houses and want nothing to do with them. Many of you here may see me as a 12th House whiner, but by the time I finish here, you’ll understand why I’m misunderstood. At the time of my arrival, I was riding a bicycle to work, and had a breakdown or flat tire at least 3-4 times a week, which boggled the minds of my roommates at the time. They thought it was some sort of curse, because the repetitive nature of the problems was simply not to be believed. Strangely, these flats never occurred on the way TO work. That first summer, I was told, was the worst lightning/thunderstorm season in Arizona 100 years, and I was caught out in it often. Uranus gave me a strong welcome with lots of electricity. Perhaps it was a warning to leave. As much as I truly love the place and always will, that warning should have been heeded. Funny, things usually went right when no people were around.

When we relocate, the energies take full effect about two years after we arrive. That was when the real fun began. The litany of events is typical for this 12th House placement. My cars were constantly being smashed, ruining my finances with repairs. Insurance companies gave me the worst time trying to collect on policies, one time it nearly turned into a legal fight which left me boiling for years. “Being boiled”, as I call it, is a result of the incessant losses and frustration. It adds another layer of emotional exhaustion on top of the physical and other emotional injuries. 12th housers know this feeling well, especially those of us who lose our grip and end up in prison. Phone bills, home maintenance, and on and on, were constantly being screwed up by service people, even after several phone calls presumably correcting the problems. Vigilance didn’t help. It seemed that everyone I dealt with was brain dead or lazy, or opportunistic. Virtually no one cared about me as a customer.

People acted psychotically against me all of the time. Not just SOME of the time, but ALL of the time. One day at work during the first of my 21 years of living in this madness, I handled a trivial problem by circumventing a particularly strange coworker who then went off on a psychotic rage (in front of our customers at that) and tried to get me fired. People in general were awful, from a tow truck driver who dropped my car and told me to #@$%& off and call my insurance company (I sued and won a partial award, due to a jackass judge), to car mechanics who created problems through laziness or incompetence, to businesspeople who were convinced that I was purposely derailing their goals. Mind you, I’d always considered myself a timid person trying to make peace among all.

My neighborhood was infested with undisciplined cats who urinated all over my car, and I borrowed a trap to remove them….only to have that same finger smashed again and again by the closing mechanism while setting the trap. The more diligently I paid attention to NOT being injured, the worse the malfunctions seemed to become. It reached the point where I was afraid to even open the hood of my car. Electric shocks happened, even though my hands were dry and I was hyper-vigilant, and the wiring was perfect.

My dating life was peppered with acrimonious incidents on the part of my dates. Again, my car was attacked and physically damaged over and over, and my poor neighbors had to endure more than one crazy date acting up at my house. More disturbing was the hate I saw in traffic, especially as a pedestrian. Several times people consciously tried to run me off the road, or run me down in crosswalks or in parking lots. In 1999, an old couple in a new Cadillac tried to run me down in a crosswalk because the light had changed on me too fast. At first, I thought these incidents were my own perception, but years later, after telling the stories to people I know there, it became evident that the drivers were pretty hateful and victimizing in Arizona….worse, the police had an attitude of doing nothing about it. Yes, I did try to file complaints. Most of my friends there did not encounter the same numbers of abusive people. In 2002, I was rammed repeatedly with a shopping cart in a store, just because I was ahead of this psychotic lady in line, and she didn’t want to wait. While she was leaving, I told her that she was living proof that America was breeding from the bottom. Few, if any incidents like this happened to my friends there. I seemed to attract strange, punishment-obsessed people who did strange things to me. Also in 1999, my family and I were stalked via defamatory hate mail, multiple incidents/attacks on my car, and personal threats by someone I hardly knew who had stolen from me. The money was the least of it; he was so angry, I was convinced that I was going to have to kill him. Fortunately, I did not act… and the experience was both distressing and educational. He is dead now and would be about 43, so karma is strong and does go in both directions, just so you know. I’ll also add that an abusive employer ended up in federal prison. It reached a point where the next person who abused me was going to make me very violent, and put them in the hospital. I was realizing that something had to change and that something was amiss following the stalker incident. I was experiencing toxic overload. The constant destruction and attacks on me left me feeling that I was going to kill or be killed. Depression followed. Fortunately, I was able to get counseling and recognize this horrible energy enough to let go and relocate out of it. My counselor was ecstatic when I informed him I was leaving.

While in the Uranus 12th House, someone told me that I “attracted” these events by my own attitude. Well, the subconscious may have attracted it, but it was not voluntary. Tolerance was useless, avoidance was not an option, and any type of diplomacy was met with even more vicious attacks. Even the people who were kind to me did not understand why I reacted the way I did to these problems. They thought I was a freak. If we do attract it personally, my feeling is that it was not intended and no amount of personal change can overcome it. Trust me, I tried a lot of different changes. It was exhausting trying to do damage control on a daily level, only to see it happen again from a different direction with a totally new twist. The only change that worked was giving up and leaving. It is apparent that having the 12th House in Uranus also attracts judgmental, blaming people into the mix. Perhaps there is a special energy emanating from 12th house people in general that invites others to abuse us. I know I never asked for any of it. From the time I was young, I had always worked hard to move life forward, and had high expectations and tried hard to get along. Not asking for it seems to be central to the experience. Objecting to the abuse brings ever more abuse. It’s fatal to the cure.

In 1999 my back (sciatic intersection) ruptured the same week as the stalker, and I spent almost two years in bed in horrible pain. Physical therapy didn’t work. I was unable to keep up with my expenses, and eventually had to sell my home to get out from under. A year after I sold out, its value had risen by about $120,000. This is typical of the irony encountered in the 12th, a turning of the knife so to speak. That house is probably now in foreclosure and back to the value I sold it for. Too bad, I just don’t care.

The constant injuries like my back were beyond the pale but there were many, many more. Once I was placing a comforter on my lodgepole pine bed and pushed it down behind the footboard, only to find that a 2 inch splinter had gone deeply under my fingernail like a Viet Cong bamboo torture method. The doctor wasn’t able to remove it, and it took two years to grow out. Fortunately, my finger did not go gangrene, though it was purple for a week, the antibiotic prescribed saved me.

By far the most disturbing events surrounded the people I knew, who were dying off in droves. Mind you, I was only in my late 20’s when this all started. About 1990, my 80 year old neighbor had a fall and his wife called me to help; when I ran over to their house and picked him up, he died in my arms. But at least he was old. Death was ever-present.

Several people I’ve questioned (including Mary) who lived in their 12th House Uranus area had this same continuous cycle of death happening around them. My partner and at least 50 of our acquaintances (that we knew of) died of AIDS. When I came out of the closet, I felt like a debutante being marched out of the ballroom and into a slaughterhouse. One of my friends, who was NOT having the same experiences but noticed that it was happening to me called it “The Black Cloud”, and it actually caused him to keep his distance from me. Strangely, I did not get infected by a single thing, and am still clear to this day. Perhaps Uranus and Pluto keep us alive longer to extend the “learning” period. During the early 90’s I ended up being a caretaker when I should have just packed my clothes and driven away as fast as I could. But I’d not have succeeded at escaping; my car at the time broke down on a daily basis. Perhaps I should have walked. You have no idea how horrible it is to see someone rot away from AIDS, it is a deep 12th house experience not unlike surviving a war. I had many young friends and acquaintances die of other things, too. There was Hepatitis B, kidney failure, alcoholism, drowning, heart defect, asphyxiation, cancer, and even a jetliner crash. These were people I liked, too. Maybe they weren’t so good for me, their motives were often hidden. One would assume that these events are typical in anyone’s life...except that their high frequency and their (mostly) young age at death was not quantifiable from a scientific standpoint. For my young age at the time….this was very disturbing. My siblings had a few events like this, but the sheer number on my side of the equation is baffling. Debates on that could rage for decades over who deserves what karma or why.

The entire time it was occurring, my thought was-- Please make it stop!!! I really don’t feel that I had manifested this horror movie of a life, but someone recently said it was probably in our “contract” with the powers that be before I was brought into this world. I know that Uranus in 12th was responsible for most of the trouble, because the rest of my chart was fairly benign.

After escaping this surreal era by leaving the mainland, the incidents all disappeared overnight. This is NOT an exaggeration. In five years in Hawaii, only one neighbor’s son has died, and it was from drugs. He avoided me. The excessive damages have stopped with an occasional minor problem that’s easily corrected. It felt like I had escaped a cemetery where hateful, homicidal poltergeists were running the show. By going West, Uranus was moved into the 2nd house (With its own financial dramas, trust me), and its domination was replaced by a massive stellium in the 4th. The attacking people I had become so accustomed to…now naturally avoid me except by phone when they’re on the mainland (back in the old 12th neighborhood!). Any physical injury whatsoever is rare and mild. My car is no longer suffering shattered windshields or being dropped by tow trucks, or hit by backhoes, or getting keyed and slashed by psychotic dates, or…or…or…whatever Uranus had in mind. I’m not as sick from sinus problems, my back is doing fairly well, and I feel well liked in this community and rarely get attitude. Yes, there are some bad people, but I only hear about them now. It seems probable that life will not return to the past destructiveness that was previously encountered. Life is even serene, actually.

What saddens me most is that right now, some of the people around me are living in their 12th House Uranus hell, and they won’t listen to my story. When we become accustomed to a life lacking any peace or security whatsoever, it becomes natural. I had already learned this false conception from my 12th House Pluto while growing up, so the experiences of my bad location were not perceived as unusual. Pain was life, life is suffering. An important part of the process of transcending our 12th houses is to recognize that this constant loss and agony is NOT normal. We don’t need it for a lifetime in order to move our souls toward a deeper understanding…..but sadly, some of us accept our misfortune and hang on. I’ve had three identifiable episodes of PTSD, two of them were in my progressed Uranus 12th, another on the East Coast with Pluto in 12th.

This placement is one of the “avoid at all costs” astrologic influences. Even in adulthood, it is severe and unforgiving, and depressive. Pluto, while more predictable, is riding along with Uranus in the 12th house for those of us born between about 1962 and 1968, about a six year conjunction. It’s unimaginable how bad they are together. I’ll have to write up a topic on how Uranus-Pluto house combinations work, they’re quite nasty.

Well, that’s my story, albeit a bit rambling. No doubt I will have rewritten it five times and vacillated over whether or not to even post it, because of its content being too personal. Nor am I looking for sympathy…what’s happened is just history now and I’m only sharing it for the benefit of others. I hope my honesty here has not been disturbing for anyone. None of this was imagined. I keep hearing how wonderful it is that we have had the chance to have our soul grow, blah blah blah, but I’ve done my time in hell, thank you. Avoid machines- especially vehicles that are running, lawnmowers, or household appliances like toasters. Always disconnect them or get help if they malfunction. Be careful around high-voltage electricity. Low-voltage shocks may actually diffuse some of this influence. Don’t give anyone a jump start, or pick up hitchhikers, or expect people to follow traffic laws. Learn to accept bad driving and rude people. Don’t take them personally, they don’t know you. All they know is that they feel the need to act up. Karma will crash them eventually. Assume no one is paying attention or is unable to. If you have a significant other or friend living with you, always ask for them to repair things. Don’t do it yourself. Forget having a phone land line at the house or even computer cable. Get WIFI and a cell phone. Buy magazines off the rack. Get some weights and exercise at home, gyms have trickster contracts. Minimize any billing that could go wrong. Be a roommate with no responsibilities, or rent a furnished home or apartment if you can, because things will go better. The more you cherish something, the higher the vulnerability for damage or loss. Learn how vehicles work, what can go wrong; always be wary of bad advice from mechanics. Find a knowledgeable car-nut to coach you. I was told my car’s alternator failed by someone who tested it, and it only required a new battery. It cost me hundreds of extra dollars when I was broke, all for nothing. Don’t buy a nice car, get one that is good mechanically that you won’t have to care about if it gets dented. Dented up cars don’t suffer additional dents, I swear by this. Buy a maintenance agreement. Better yet, don’t have a car or bicycle at all. Walk or bus, but watch out for cyclists, they may run you down because their need for speed outweighs your safety, they’re psychotic.

Keep a cell phone on your person at all times. Program 911 on speed dial and use it if someone road rages you. Don’t hesitate, don’t cut anyone off or pull out on them, either. Signal. Slow down to keep others from running stop signs. After a few incidents with that, you’ll understand what I mean. The faster you go, the more close calls you’ll see. If you get accosted in a building, take the phone out and confront the attacker, mirror the 12th house shock back at them, tell them you’re assuming an attack is underway and that you are calling the police. They’ll think you’re crazy but it throws it back in their face. Confront them, ask them who they are, and say they don’t know you, and that they have no right to treat you this way. I always did better when I fought back with questions. Most importantly of all, if you get angry, don’t attack first. They probably won’t be violent unless you have a Pluto 11th or Mars 1st or other aspect that attracts it. There’s probably going to be a lot of rudeness and abuse, and as Stevo says, NO apologies. I agree, you won’t get apologies, period. Always call for help, for security at the store to come, etc. Make friends with a Wiccan and get multiple protection spells. Wear amethyst. Never rush anything, leave early for work and the airport. Pay bills early if you can. Don’t make friends with freaky, discouraging people, period. Abandon them. Walk out on the middle of a project if the abuse starts, get higher-ups involved. Shock them all back. Use your power against them. Refuse to cooperate. Head off trouble if you see it coming. Don’t overlook that. Yes, do be vigilant but try not to be neurotic.

Natal Saturn in the 12th

Hi. I'm new to this group, so I thought I'd start off by asking about those of you who have their natal Saturn in the 12th House. That's my natal placement of this planet, as well as it also being in Cancer--a really tough placement in both cases. I keep hearing that Saturn in the 12th means that the native has brought a huge load of karma into this life to be worked out. I've also heard it's a very lonely placement, and also one that make the native eventually have to face his/her fears in life. When I was thinking about it a while ago, I remembered that Saturn is the planet that builds structures, but in this instance is in a sign and house that are both ruled by water, so how can one build sturctures amidst water? Or maybe I'm just getting a little too lost in the metaphor of things.
So what do any of you who have Saturn in the 12th care to say about it?

12th HOUSE KARMA TO THE COLLECTIVE

As a working astrologer for the past twenty years, I work with two karmic houses, the 8th and the 12th and four houses of change or the opening for transformation which are the Cadent houses of 12, 3, 6 and 9.

8th house is the house of the Soul, planets here in this placement regardless of sign or interception carry soul karma with other people.

12th house is the house of Spirit, planets here in this placement regardless of sign or interception carry spirit karma with the divine or collective.

I have found that generally during and after the years that follow the Uranus opposition, or mid life crisis, that this is when spirit pierces the 12th house veil. Remember, Karma only comes when we expect it the least. Example: Say one was a wild child and did a lot of crazy things at 17, Spirit of the nature of the 12th house, to repay some past life karma will not ask you to repay. They will wait until your 51, settled, ice house and then all of a sudden the past starts coming up and opens a door, not only to the 17 year old, but the combination of your past life karma. Say if Saturn is there and you were an accountant for the Nazi Regime, which I feel is likely for souls being born now... 12th house karma is ten times worse than 8th house karma because it involves consciousness, separation for lifetimes, separation and undoing, addictions to anything like shopping to alcohol or the military etc.

To me, after this karma is paid, one gets the great spiritual advancement in soul terms, not money, human or praise terms. I think that is why its so hard, there is no reward in the mind body arena, but soul and spirit which is only about you.

I graduated with a degree in interior design, and only recently it hit me like a ton of bricks.... Im not doing anything with that! It pisses me off to design anything other than my own style (go figure) and I just cannot deal with superficial nature of it.

Venus in the 12th house

Hi all! I'm new to tribe and astrology but I have a curiosity regarding Venus in the 12th house in terms of personal love/friendships/relationships.

I just wanted to ask anyone who has Venus in the 12th house whether or not they believe that painful love/relationship experiences are just something we should come to accept with this placement. I also want to discuss aspects to Venus in the 12th house. Do you believe there are aspects that can intensify or balance out this interpretation?

For example I have 12th Venus (Libra) in opposition to 7th house Jupiter (in Aries). From what I've read, Jupiter is suppose to bring luck to the area of the chart it touches. For the 7th house that would be contracts, partnerships and marriage. Although I am initially lucky in this area, something always manages to sabotage it.

I am fairly new to astrology so I apologize if my interpretations are incorrect or don't make sense. Any comments on this topic would be much appreciated!

Reading from Tracy Marks, _Your Secret Self': Illuminating the mysteries of the Twelfth House_.

Your twelfth house moon suggests that you are a private person, hesitant to reveal your feelings and needs. Often, fearful of your vulnerability, you block awareness of your feelings; you seek refuge from your inner world in habitual activities which you may perform in an automatic manner. Contacting your hidden emotional self may be difficult for you, because you have developed a lifetime of defenses against primitive levels of need and dependency which frighten you. You may feel intense shame in regard to the child-self which is buried within you.

Repressed for a long time, your sadness and longing may sometimes burst forth as infantile tears, which seem regressive and inappropriate. Like Alice in Wonderland drowning in the flood of her tears, you feel overwhelmed, and seek to squelch future displays of feeling. "Be strong;don't cry" may be your motto. You are afraid not only of drowning in your feelings and your needs, but also of revealing your vulnerability to others, then being rejected or abandoned.

Perhaps because of traumatic experiences as a child, in which you experienced unbearable helplessness, need, and dependency in relationship to a parent who could not sensitively respond, you learned to turn to yourself early in life and to establish your self-sufficiency. "I must do it alone; I don't need anyone," you decided, as you withheld yourself emotionally in relationships, and learned how to engage with people without full involvement. Emotionally self-contained and insulated, you became a capable survivor, and learned how to effectively play the roles required of you. But often, as a result of your repression, you feel empty and depleted, out of contact with your source of inner sustenance.

If your moon is deeply buried, you may struggle against fear of the primitive infant locked within you, and against a desire to return to the womb or to escape into fantasies of total nurturance. Fearful of your passivity and your desire for motherly love, you compensate through cultivating your adult competencies and by becoming a caregiver. But although you are independent in the external world, you hold onto your established patterns of behavior and to whatever internal sources of security you have developed.

Forced to turn to yourself early in life, you learned how to take care of yourself, and how to substitute behaviors and activities for the nurturing from others you did not receive. You may as a result be compulsive about your self-caretaking rituals, particularly in regard to food. Tendencies toward anorexia, adherence to strict diets, preoccupation with cooking, and fear of eating in restaurants are all manifestations of a twelfth house moon. Sometimes, you become ill as a means of resting from the demands of your adult self, and in order to allow yourself to receive the caretaking that you seek.

Your twelfth house moon suggests that you never felt allowed to be a child. Perhaps your mother was emotionally a child herself, and wanted you to cater to her needs rather than become capable of responding to yours. She may have been deeply troubled, psychologically or physically unavailable; she may have sacrificed herself to involvements in the outer world at the expense of her family life. Whatever your situation, her negative responses to your needs and feelings, and her messages of "don't cry" "be strong" or "do it yourself" led you to believe that you had no right to have feelings. The hurt or trauma you experienced then may have resulted in a deep-seated decision never to make yourself vulnerable again. "I'd rather die than need you," you may have inwardly said to your mother, "because if I need you I will have to bear the intolerable pain of your failure to meet my needs." As you grew older, fearing the re-stimulation and opening of earlier wounds, you may have said to yourself, " I will not be dependent upon anyone ever again."

Often a twelfth house moon signifies a failure in the early attachment bond with the mother, although a deep inner bond with her exists. Such a bond ( accompanied by idealization) persists in part because you need to hold on to her psychically, as a result of not having received adequate nurturing. Frequently, a twelfth house moon suggests problems in the oral or suckling stage or lack of adequate physical nurturance. If your mother was unable to rspond to your nonverbal (and verbal) signals, you learned to distrust closeness to other persons, and failed to develop a healthy degree of trust.

Because of childhood trauma, you may have repressed your early experiences, and remember little of your family life; you may also have developed a lifestyle which involves minimal family contact. Perhaps because you neer had a secure home, or because you fear experiencing your need for a home and family life, you may avoid creating a home that could be truly nurturing for you. Sometimes, people who have Twelfth house moons never develop roots anywhere; they move frequently, unable to settle down, afraid of sinking into the feelings and needswhich they associate with attachment to home and family.

Another influence of a twelfth house moon is confusion in regard to female identity and to relationships with woman. Lacking an adequate female role model, you may have distorted ideas about womanhood and motherhood. If you are female, you may be insecure about your identity as a woman, and inclined to equate female role behavior with self-sacrifice; you might then, in reaction, reject the traditionally feminine, and seek refuge in "male" values. Sometimes, woman with twelfth house moons deny the desire for motherhood; or, in contrast, allow themselves to become pregnant in order to recreate them mother/infant bond.

If you are male, you may feel insecure about the hidden female within you, which at times feels like overwhelming need and passivity. You may devalue the "feminine" realms of life, while simultaneously idealizing women, falling in love with inner images and fantasies, yearning for the perfect woman/mother/mate, or attracting clinging, dependent women who force you to make contact with the energies you project.
To the extent to which you fear your vulnerability and hunger for nurturance, you attract people who need you and become dependent upon you. Fleeing from relationships which awaken your own need, you are nevertheless quite capable of responding to need in others. In fact, you may even respond with a sensitivity and sympathy which you are incapable of giving to yourself. Psychically sensitive to others, you are attuned to their feelings and intuitively know what to say and do.

Because you are a natural caretaker, you are probably drawn to work in the service professions, where you can meet the needs of wounded or troubled humanity. Identifying with the troubled, ill or weak, you demonstrate your talent as a nurse, healer, or counselor. Having sacrificed your personal mother to the world, you may also sacrifice your personal mothering needs in order to mother humanity as a whole. You seek to give to others what you always wanted to receive. Such giving may not fill the empty space within you, but it does provide vicarious satisfaction and the experience of having made a significant social contribution.

Another advantage of your twelfth house moon is your keen intuition an innate spirituality. Because of your sensitivity, you need to spend a considerable amount of time alone, reflecting upon aspects of your personal life which you do not share with others, and clearing yourself of the psychic overload you have accumulated as a result of too much contact. Your solitude may also be important to you because it helps you to regain contact with yourself, to connect with your feeling nature, and through meditation, music, or other pursuits, to let go of the walls you have created and surrender to forces greater than yourself.

Because you have preserved your true child self deep within you, in a form that is largely untouched by the world, you are capable of contacting and drawing from rich sources of inner nourishment which reside with that child. Because its boundaries are thin, it is capable of openness to spiritual realms. The more you are able to honor that archaic child within you, the more you will become attuned to your divine nature and be able to enrich yourself with the openness to higher energies which it can offer you.

You need to contact, accept, and embrace the child within you, to tolerate its terror of abandonment and its primitive feelings and needs, and to learn to soothe and reassure it. Feeling-oriented therapy, re-birthing, self-psychology, primal therapy, and past-lives therapy all may facilitate this process. As you begin to acknowledge and honor your inner child, you may also choose to create for yourself a home which is truly nourishing, and which helps you to feel warm, safe, and emotionally secure. Once you begin to hear, accept, and meet the real needs of your inner child, you will experience a sense of realness and wholeness which previously was inaccessible to you; you will also be able to give to others more effectively, to meet their real needs, rather than vicariously using them as a means for recovering your lost self. -

Pluto,Eris,Makemake,and Haumea are classed as dwarf planets and Plutoids in Astronomy.

Imaginary Friends

In my family, My mother, brother and myself have all had one. Our "friends" have since left and said their goodbyes and now have become childhood memories. I know its strange, but its true. We all had an imaginary friend. Up until about 10 years ago, none of us knew about the other one having one.
Aside from being family, astrologically, what we all have in common is having a 12th house Sun.
So I wonder, how common is it for a 12th house Sun to have had a "friend"?

Today, this appeared in an article on Slate, by Timothy Noah. He states the obvious, that successful people have NO IDEA how they succeeded. I'll go on the mention that the posts on this tribe by yours truly did NOT have any embellishments. In fact, a lot worse things that happened to me were just too numerous to mention.

The above explanation was given after rejecting the idea that only winners should give commencement speeches at universities.

"Eminence is the one universal precondition to being a commencement speaker, and an implied (often explicit) theme of the speeches is, "Here lieth the path to success and happiness." There are two problems with this formula. The first is that any narrative of success is bound to be at least a little bit dull. Saturn in 12th house and HARD WORK

I have Saturn in 12th house natally. All my life, people around me always thought that I never work hard. That I always take the easy way out. And I think that it has to do with this placement. Because 12th house is the house of hidden/unknown/etc, while Saturn is the planet of hard work. I guess people are right, I tend to be very resistant to anything that involves working hard. But when I do work hard, it's always in a way that nobody knows about. It's working behind the scenes alone. And people only see the outward things, and they don't see my hard work. Does anybody else who has this placement have this problem ??? It's very frustrating especially with my siblings, I have many....and growing up, they all had to do all the chores and work hard, and for some reason, I was the only one who never had to do any hard work. Parents never made me, parents gave me money for free and not to my other siblings, even if they worked hard and I did nothing.

And my attitude towards hard work is different than many people. Most people in our society see hard work as a virtue. Which I guess in many ways it is. But I don't think we have to work hard to have what we want in life. It's like WHy do people have to suffer to get things that they want? We don't think something is worthy if we didn't have to work hard for it and that simply is not true. I'm actually really against the whole parents making kids do chores thing. Because that's like training kids to think that they can only get good things in life if they work hard. THat is teaching kids about conditional love. Anyways anybody else feel this way? (I mean anyone who has Saturn in 12th?)

Hello, I've only just started looking into my chart & wandered into the other 12th house group where it was recommended I come here. & wow! the more I read here, the more I realise & understand myself.

My life has constantly been heavy & painful: I'm 'too' sensitive as they say, can't let go, keep at a huge distance from my mother, have terrible 'inner-child' issues & a rage like Leviathan that is a real struggle, but all that is offset by a strong feeling of compassion & a generosity to the point of being to my own detriment. I think this has to do with Saturn, Moon & Mars in my 12th & the generosity may have to do with my Jupiter. Is that right? I would be so grateful if you would look at my chart (in my profile photos).

This path I'm on has never felt so vivid as right now & I feel something is trying to tell me something... sorry I can't explain it very well!

Hello everybody!!!
I have a 12th house Uranus and I have recently discovered whats behind this stuff...

Im 32 years old and all of my life Ive had a terrible fear of getting drunk, of take any drug that could interfere with my "normal state".
Ive always had fear of alcohol because "if I get drunk, I'll loose control, and I could do terrible things".

For example, my friends eat peyote, an hallucigenic drug. Well, I say "no, thanx". I fear of myself. I fear of allucinate and see things of my unconscious, I sometimes fear of my crazy dreams.

I never get drunk so my friends call me "square mind", Im afraid of just "letting myself go".

I dont know if all this have to do with my 12th house Uranus. Im not talking about "I want to do drugs", because I dont want to, thats not the point!!!!

I'll appreciate your comments!!!!

Venus, Pluto, Mars Conjunction in 12th house (natal)

Actually, Mars is at the very end of my 11th house, but I suppose it is said to be interpreted as 12th house.

All are tightly conjoined in Libra (chart on profile).

So anyway.... I still can't grasp this 12th house business. Any insights? Without being versed in aspects, I still get a strong feeling that this focal point of my chart has something important to teach me about how to approach life, and yet it just looks like a recipe for pending disaster.

12th House Reversals - Solar Eclipse

What a day! Has anyone else been spun around today?

I just came home from an unexpected career interview, on a Sunday of all days. It's a near-certainty that the position will be offered when I get back to them. It's recessionproof, pays well, and I have good credentials to give. I've already met the staff--- they're real Earth people. It's NOT corporate, either. It's also in high-tech, so my Uranus in 2nd won't be causing any trouble. A safe harbour during the bad times we're in. I've always had bad times when everyone else is doing well and vice versa, so I'm not surprised. My current career has been abysmally unreliable, almost bankrupting. I'm ready to bail out.

A quick look at my chart offered some astounding 10th house energies today....and I'm kinda glad I didn't look this morning, the surprise was life-changing.

My location is IC the eclipse as well. Sextiles within squares....interesting.

Planetary influence isn't everything

Hey guys,

I posted here about 5 months back and at that time I was going through a lot. But I worked on it and it has gotten BETTER. It still is pretty bleak but at least now I'm not as worried as I used to be :) But I have seen a lot of posts where people blame their astrological combinations for something that goes wrong in their life (not in this tribe but in others) and they might not be doing anything about it. I would just like to say that hard work can change your luck or alter or minimize planetary effects.

I read somewhere (I do not remember where) that 12th house saturn causes sleeping problems. Umm maybe but unless it has some physical cause, a sleeping disorder is caused by an overactive mind (you think too much when you should be trying to sleep). I know that meditation will help you to calm your mind down and relax and go to sleep. Or whatever works for you. The main point being that too many thoughts should NOT race through your mind when you are trying to sleep else you won't be able to go to sleep.

So let us not get crazy and blame all our shortcomings on planetary influences and not take credit ourselves. The planetary influences are merely there because we require them to be there so that we can work on our shortcomings. Or in other words, we create or attract situations that will help us in our spiritual evolution to grow in understanding and become better people (by the way what happened to people being the plural of person? Nowadays everyone uses persons. When I was in school, I was very specifically taught that the plural of person was people and not persons).

mars/mercury/jupiter/sun/chiron(even though that last one is closely on it's way out) is all having one big party in my 12th house and it's doing nothing other than making my brain feel 'dopey' and me not really wanting to do anything even though i've been trying to fight it cause i'm trying to get shit together to get into a better situation(physical location)

usually i could probably figure out how to make the most use out of this situation,but like i said i can be hardly assed to do anything lately

Rightfully the only man I would ever vote for, Ron Paul, clearly predicts more bailouts. Give a kid a bottle of whiskey and Bugatti WayRon and start immediately shopping for a new car.

Albeit Haumea in Bootes and Spica Virginis cluster, the bailout has Chaos (sic) rising with ascendant Cetus I very close to Eridanus, thus above Witchallow ( WMAP clod spot ) and the Axis of Evil aligned neatly. What I like less is the fragments of comet Wild near the ascendant, decomposing stuff, etc, etc, ...

The descendant is Antares in Scorpius with Hylonome, impulsive ( !!! hothead ) Ixion and five centaurs, nothing special, but I still experiment with exact time of the bailout.

Hopefully no act was issued around midnight when the WTC blaster, Eris, rose in Cetus. Cetus is the boss of the zodiac for the present age of Kali, since aligned at equinox time. This is the age of Cetus and the bailout passed with Cetus.

Local positive omens for now, but the whole picture is of a crisis not to be solved in one day. Who will pay? The miserable, of course. The bailout is like a medieval tax campaign. The peasant goes to war, pays taxes and upholds a corrupt economy. My U.S.A. citizenship still pending; I can not be really acquainted will all implications, neither I am sure I want it any more.

Just checked the meridian which fails short of Phoenix ( to support and align to fed ) and is in Indus. Nessus in Microscupium ( aggressive minuteness? ) is next, then Neptune ( oil issues, capitalistic socialism, possibly left wing movements? ), Damocles with impotent centaur Chiron, where Damocles crushes the whole map down to nothing. With Cahos and Damocles the chances are dim, still checking, of course, but did not Ron Paul analyze this already?

Relocation OUT of the 12th houses

This message is NOT political. It is my take on what happens when a relocation out of the 12th occurs. I spent a lot of time and thought on this posting and am not seeking anger or challenges, it's merely an observation of what can happen, with commentary on my own experiences. "Amazing" is not an adulatory word, it could have been applied to Mother Teresa, or Hitler, or Galileo, or Andrew Carnegie.

My posting here:

Recently, I discovered Barack Obama’s birth chart data, and was very surprised to see that he was born with both a 12th house Jupiter and a 12th house Saturn. He’s certainly come a long way and overcome many obstacles in his life. A truly unique individual, he’s transcended many of the negative energies he started out with in life. I believe his strengths lie in the good energies that he was born with, that he made the most of the positive traits that he was born with, and somehow was inspired to move ahead in life by heading out into the dynamic world he managed to create for himself in spite of seemingly high odds stacked against him.

There’s much talk here about 12th house this and 12th house that, and the vast majority of comments seem to indicate how hard life has been, and in our postings we’ve all really exercised our rights to be 12th House victims. It really is undoubtedly tough, though. It’s not imagined. Anyone who has dealt with this in their charts has seriously tragic stories to tell, and Obama has his own as well. In true 12th house fashion, his parents were only together two years, and he only met his father once before the car crash that took his life.

My own experience was similar to Obama’s. In 2004 I escaped (Yes, I take license to use this word.) my 12th houses by relocating out of them, ironically, to Hawaii. (Obama was born in 1961 in Honolulu.) My 45 years of living with about half in Pluto 12 and Moon 12 and the 2nd half of it in a relocated Uranus 12th house was enough to drive me out of my mind. All of the famous 12th house destructions and limitations were there….family (Moon), career failure, ostracization, property damage and loss, injury and subsequent financial loss, other health issues, deaths of friends and destructive events and injuries from unusual causes (Uranus), being obsessed over, punished, and stalked-- you name it, it happened. But all that’s changed now. Certainly, the 12th houses (Moon and Pluto) from my birthplace are still there, looming in the background, but they seem benign, only occasionally rearing their ugly heads. My RelNat (Relocated Natal Chart) is quite different from the one I was born with. It’s primarily 4th houses with a notable Moon sextile the Ascendant now, so I now have friends who treat me like a family should, an accepting community, much-improved spirituality, greatly improved health, and a strangely unfamiliar public likeability toward me. The unlearning of old habits has been daunting. Suddenly becoming popular required a relearning of all of my social skills from the ground up. This is funny, because I don’t feel any different about my own personality as compared with the past.

Somehow, it seemed like a doorway opened for me four years ago, that the 12th houses were either no longer needed to enlighten me— a watershed change, or that the damage caused by inflicted events was spiritually debilitating and inhibiting my soul growth. Either way, it feels like a get-out-of-jail-free card. 12th house people have this tendency to stand up, dust themselves off, and laugh at the comic nature of relentless suffering. This time I opted to be grateful instead, fearing a return to hell!

But, back to Mr. Obama… His life has been amazing, no doubt. His relocation out of the 12th houses may or may not have had a higher-powered calling. A look at his Honolulu chart shows some very interesting strengths and challenges. Those remain in the background of his consciousness, guiding him to success. As a young man, no doubt he assumed from his 12th house experiences that he had nothing to lose by making major changes, aspiring to move to Los Angeles and then New York, the Boston area, and finally Chicago. He also lived in Jakarta, Indonesia for a few years as a child.

In Honolulu, natally, he had Sun and Mercury in the 6th house, Moon in 4th, Venus 5th, Mars in 7th/8th, a double 12 in Jupiter and Saturn, 7th in Uranus and Pluto, and Neptune in 9th. The limitations there must have been quite challenging for Barack. The Pluto/Uranus 7th houses place severe difficulties on relationships, the limiting and even defeating 12th house Jupiter and Saturn influences likely made him turn inward for solutions to his oppressed ambitions. Had he stayed in Hawaii, the world would not know this man. I’m not sure he would have even won an election for dog catcher on O’ahu.

But the base for his later successes was also there. His Moon in the 4th house gives the ultimate “home” feeling, one which is difficult to leave. I’m certain he had a very hard time deciding to pack up and go to the mainland. He took that home base confidence with him, though. His Mars is at the end of the 7th house, placing some personal desire into his relationships with others; the 8th house has progression here, which motivates him to find assistance from others. Neptune in 9th instills a spirituality into learning and law, which naturally assisted him later on.

When Obama moved to the East Coast, several amazing things happened when his houses relocated. His Sun moved into the 3rd house, giving him a sunny personality, Venus in 1st gave him a strong appearance, but importantly, his Jupiter moved into the 9th house of learning, law, and travel. What a fantastic coincidence that he was getting his degrees at Columbia and Harvard, thriving in the scholastic environment. At Harvard, he was living under his Sun sextile Ascendant, which favors idea sharing and an outgoing personality colored by restlessness. He was heavily involved in debates and worked at the Harvard Law Review.

He wasn’t to remain on the East Coast… some of his chart effects probably made him feel not-very-much-at-home. His Moon slipped into the 12th house there, which I can verify personally as not being very much fun socially. Pluto in 4th and Uranus in 4th on the East Coast likely made any home life into a very strange set of circumstances. His ascendant tendencies brought him disputes and disagreements with others, just what the doctor ordered for a law school situation. This is amazing.

Still, overall, in both Boston and Chicago, Obama was under the influence of his Sun/Moon paren, a latitudinal crossing which offers tremendous benefits. It compels a unity of body, mind, and soul that also promotes goodwill in relationships. Perhaps that offset some of his challenging law school experiences. It certainly shows in his Chicago experience. His East Coast experiences molded him for his future there.

When Obama’s chart is relocated to Chicago, it goes KABOOM. I’m not surprised at all looking at the data. To his good fortune, he and his wife decided to live in Chicago instead of going to the Washington area after he was elected to the Senate. The many commutes were worth it. The energies in Chicago are so coincidental that any person in his shoes could not have asked for a better set of circumstances. Sun in 4th promises recognition and success as one ages, Moon in 1st projects a positive personality in his outward appearance. Most incredibly, his Jupiter moves the end of the 9th house, which progresses into the 10th house. The 10th house (midheaven) is where we are standing straight up in the world, where we can show it what we’re made of. The 9th house is still lending its effects here, as it expands learning and law. Saturn the taskmaster lags behind in the 9th house for Obama in Chicago, challenging him in law. He taught law here.

Here are some relocated aspects in Chicago that I dug up:

Jupiter conjunct Midheaven - Stimulates principled thinking
Saturn conjunct Midheaven - Takes hard work and understanding to task
Moon Trine Midheaven - This one is the WOW factor. Creates conditions for fame, recognition, fosters charisma, and a feeling of belonging in a community.
Sun opposition Midheaven - Encourages humility, self-esteem
Moon conjunct Ascendant - helps gain assistance from women. Think Oprah here. It aligns feelings to the public at large, gives a caretaker outlook.
Uranus square Ascendant - Instills a reformer outlook, with challenges to the status quo.

Overall I’d have to say that the synchronicity of events and places is astounding for Barack Obama. This is especially so, considering his chart is littered with negative squares and other detrimental aspects. These observations, and also my own experience shows me that anyone with severe troubles stemming from their 12th houses would do well to look into a new location to live. Even Obama is not gilded. His Boston chart was not ideal for long-term success. A relocated chart study would be wise for anyone wary of going from the frying pan into the fire, which can happen.

My own experience with relocating out of the 12th houses has been a godsend, currently I feel that having a real life is possible, where before, it was not.

12th House Blessings

I am new to tribe. I posted something on the Natal 12th house Saturn blog, up only heard from someone who wanted to come on to me. Erk, not too unusual. I am still figuring out the landscape here, and that often means that I bump around in the dark until my eyes adjust.

What I basically tried to get across in my reply to Maggie is that I am finding that, now that I have reached a certain time of maturity in my life, the blessings of the 12 house are beginning to surface for me. I think that age does have something to do with coming to terms with the 12th house, and this would stand to reason, being as it is the last house. I have a link to my chart on my Bio page, but as i said to Maggie:

...my Saturn is not in the 12th house, but in the 3rd in the sign of Scorpio. However, I am identifying with much being said here since I have my Leo Sun and Leo Pluto and my Virgo Jupiter in the 12th house. King of the Zodiac whispers in a twi-light place with the King of the Underworld and the King of the Heavens. (My Virgo Jupiter is supported here by his attendants, my Mercury and Ascendent in Virgo in the 1st house, whereas my Sun and Pluto also have the provocations of my Uranus in Leo in the 11th House, creating the occasional profound disruptions in the proceedings.) FYI -- my Moon and Chiron are in Aquarius in my 5th house.

I have consulted an astrologer once, n the early times of my Uranus opposition where my basic feeling was "what is going on?". She told me that her first impression of me was Virgo. I encounter that quite a bit, but imagine a Leo that looks like a Virgo. I am sure that I walk into most scenarios misperceived. That was very important for me to figure out because I now see how to deal better with people initially so that they are better prepared to see me more as I really am. I was also important for me to finally understand that my being understood is not entirely another person's job.

The 12th house really seems to be about age and old people, which makes since since these are the folks who most often suffer isolation. It seems like a good place to be if you are looking after old people and anticipating an isolated retirement. Of course I get into my thoughts to the point that I find it hard to find enough time to be alone.

I aslo agreed with Maggie that there are certain archetypical "tools" that seem to materialize in a contented 12th house . As she said, Shapeshifting, which is actually just changing one's perspective and thereby being a different "animal". I nvisibility she also mentioned, and this is one of the first tools that seems to appear. But I have also found that the 12th house bestows the tool of time "management".

This is perhaps a cautionary tale, although it looks more to me like happily ever after in the end, but I followed the pull of nature at a time when there was grief upon grief, ending upon ending, misfortune upon misfortune, and shock upon shock. Nature pulled me to hibernate, maintain as much as possible a state of suspended animation, walk totally aware into the faerie ring because that's where you can sleep for "a hundred years". Physically, my body was running its engine too hard to maintain a calm and pragmatic frame of mind, which was required. Beware adrenaline in the 12th house. I have only recently begun the process of waking up from this six-year hibernation. But I find that in stepping out of the faerie ring I now seem to be able to alter the perception of time in myself and also in others. I can't tell you how much of a blessing that is.

There is no question that the 12th house has an extremely surreal quality to it. Often times reality seems to mimic faerie tales and myths and so forth. Here the paranormal is plausible. I think this house has a firm connectioon to the ultimate physics. I am looking forward to finding out what the Large Hadron accelerator reveals in the coming times.

Barack Obama - Physical protection from Jupiter in 12th.

Well, despite the right wing hate propaganda being attached to my posting, I would like to say that Obama was born with his Jupiter in 12th. This placement provides uncanny protection to the native. Bob Marks describes several amazing stories of men at war surviving bomb blasts, and my own personal friend received protection from a street gang in an Atlanta hood just this past summer. I am convinced of this aspect's power. Obama is far from his birthplace, but the war story by Marks occurred overseas and not in his natal location. I did a chart analysis of Obama last month. 12th is the brightest, the house of the rising sun, moksha, no psyche there, no shades

The error was in the zodiac, house system and ascendants. They e.g. thought that the sun was ascending at east or something.
The Cartesian house system has corrected this and more. Of course with crooked house systems and an a TWO SIGN error, the houses and zodiacal signs messed up. Morrinus Villafranche once said, well, the king of Sweden has all hism planets in 12th and he is undoubtfully healthy and longevity is upon him. Morrinus could not know that he was using the wrong zodiac, house system and ascendant set, but at least he was sincere.

1. INTRODUCTION

Healing Reiki masters comes natural with the advent of the RTRRT, much as the real time reality rendering tools have initiated O5 masters towards Reiki with a simple touch of "I am a Reiki master". Quintessentially omnipotent, O5 declares mastership over Reiki with quick results. One can, namely declare anything, clear any doubts with O5 and become one’s intent in no time. Therefore, the O5 initiate rightfully declares mastership over Reiki, thus becoming the friend and healer of Reiki masters.
2. INCENTIVE
Healing Reiki masters became necessary as their number was growing in the initiation sphere. As everybody in the house became Reiki master, they healed themselves among themselves when they could. When one is a Reiki master as healed by another Reiki master, one rightfully doubts mastership at some level. Not every Reiki master knew why cancer comes and goes, much according to the superstition of the "returning illness". Such an illness was not cured on the mental plane and thus returns, but much of what is said about such a return is from unqualified sources.
3. APPROACH
The operating environment of O5 and all RTRRT is not at all the daily mind. Aladdin had to walk the central path in |:::|| being careful not to touch the gem trees to the left and the right. Thus, the initiate naturally crosses one’s eyes towards the center of the skull. Neither this nor that is neither yin nor yang, neither space nor time shall exist if for a timeless moment in hacking the matrix towards the achievement of magical intent. False ego is removed in order for true mind to act in an environment of its own. This point is largely overlooked, as healing does not happen "in this world" at all, this world being the cause for illness and death. What is this world? This world is the distorted perception as filtered by false ego. What is false ego? The default mind, psyche or the ego that knows us well is the mind matrix that keeps us obedient to the personal devil. This ego is binary, unsatisfied and paranoid.

4. RESULTS
The results of our research are enlisted as follow.
Temporary cancer may be caused by plain astrological direction; thus, Moon in Sextans when shaded by Saturn above in Leo may develop cancerous cells as dictated by false ego. Conversely, any Saturn Moon transit can cause cancer. Cancer was historically named precisely because of the Moon Saturn conjunction in Cancer. At the time, there was no great error as concern astrological calculus. We may say that the error was very young, the healers and stargazers extremely rare, and the only big mistake was the lack of precession correction for the ascendant.
Nowadays there are only 16 types of illness according to the natal ascendant. Thus, Hydra can suffer from negative energy from other people, as well as inner devils. A typical case is that Aleister Crowley who incurred magickal and physical attacks worth a horror movie, while launching attacks at devils from within his turbulent mind. Aleister was a great astrologer but not a very good astronomer. Amazingly, it was precisely Hydra rising when he summoned his angel-demon in Cairo in 1904. Healing arts never use the zodiac and if they do they use unqualified, that is, false zodiacal positions.
In old Greece, a doctor who would fain analyze the patient without calculating the horoscope would be discarded as charlatan.
Diagnostic can be only be set within an accurate horoscope environment, in order to e.g. determine genetic, natal or transiting cancers, as well as the time of the cure.
It is a well-known fact that the quack doctors used to cut the wrong organ on account of wrong calculus. Nowadays such calculus is not only wide spread but also sometimes sanctioned by quack institutions that allegedly act as astrological authorities. Shall we spare the reader with our opinion as to such institutions? Do we care but to mention that one that does not know one’s own natal position of the Sun can not possibly heal others, but on the contrary, such shallow interpreters of a still shallower doctrine can do great damage to the healthy.
As the father of Greek medicine wants it "Only an asinine quack doctor does not correct his calculus for precession", and so it was. Centuries have passed and errors have multiplied, thus nowadays the error is two signs. The doctor who cuts the throat should cut the abdomen instead. There is a far way from Scorpius to Virgo, much as many stars lag between Pisces and Capricornus. If already one sign of error was unpardonable, two signs of error can be only called asinine.
In our enlightened new age where computers are everywhere, the two sign error propagates at light speed with catastrophic result for the population.
True healing masters are extremely rare, but astrologers are not even present on the planet at this time. We had perhaps less than five astrologers on the planet since Enoch walked with God.
The patient is left to random chance and chaos in a world infested by too many healers and all too many astrologers. No academic knowledge is required in a quick analysis as to the quality of such healing as in the case when all seem to be healers. If all are healers why all seem to be sick? There should not be death by now considering the number of illuminated healers. The WTC should not happen in taking into account the number of astrologers.
The fact that there are no astrologers is easily proven. In short, when the WTC was hit, the Moon was in Orion, at Xi2 Orionis, precisely where the known terrorist’s natal Moon stands. Eris was in Cetus exactly to the minute over the NYC western horizon. No American horoscope can scan the real sky. The U.S.A. natal ascendant is Serpens Cauda. Our Masonic ancestors simply took no astronomical courses, and whoever was aware of the Lion and Unicorn never cared to instruct further.
5. DISCUSSION
The conclusion is that the doctor should consult the NASA ephemeris before making any judgement. There are peculiar positions of the Sun such as Sun in Orion, Ophiuchus and Cetus, much as there are specific zodiacal positions for the Moon and planets such as Uranus in Cetus, Venus in Pegasus and Moon in Auriga. The doctor considers such positions in calculating the directions for the cure. Strict observance of the Academic Zodiac warrants serious as well as competent healing and excellent timing counsel in every walk of life. The true skies are an enjoyable experience along with the RTRRT, even in manifesting as instant miracle that does not require tedious study. The healing arts can be greatly improved as well as timed along with the intervention of the real skies into one’s true horoscope. There is no cause to linger on superstition and cut the wrong leg in an age of revelation as supervised by God and NASA.

I agree with most of what has been said concerning 12th house sun, especially about the 1st 1/2 of life being difficult. Concerning the father part... could be true, for some reason I loved my dad very much he was my hero...even though my mother spent more than 40 years telling me he was not there for me, ever. This is not how I remember it...but then again... I have neptune on the cusp of my 4th house... so what do I really know about my family/roots?

I have always been very confused about what my career should be...I have tried so many things and nothing really gets going...

Sun in Cancer 12th house. North node in Leo in 12th house as well. My 1st house is loaded with Uranus in Leo, Pluto conj Venus in Virgo. I have a grand trine of mercury in cancer 10th house~ Neptune in scorpio 4th house~jupiterin pisces 8th house. Mars in Gemini 10thhousei. Saturn conj Moon in Aquarious 7th house.

Chiron in 7th house... I have been with my husband for 30 yrs now... and survived a few transits of Uranus....Wow! What a ride that was! How did I survive this... I used Chiron talent on my own marriage and allowed my ego to desolve into it.... (strange and I am not sure anyone would understand that. )

BTW... I look at these leaders who have 12th house suns and I wonder what else is happening to allow them to retain these positions... it appears that almost all of them have people working front and center for them and most of their work is practiced behind the scenes and occasionly taking to center stage... Those who remain in the lime light must have one heck of a way to desensitize afterwords.... then I think of Nelson Mandella.

If any of you have any insight to offer concerning my career I would be open to listening...right now I am studying and have been for a few years now but come next May I have to venture out into the working world....

Neptune in the 12th - Grand Trines and Kites galore

Hi all,

I just recently joined this site, and this is my first posting. I have my Neptune in Sagittarius in the 12th house. According to traditional interpretation (and confirmed by personal experience), this is a highly potent position for psychic and mystical work. What's also interesting (and I'd like some help from you guys in interpreting this) is that my Neptune is involved in two Grand Trines/Kites in my natal chart.

If you'd like to look up my chart somewhere, my birth details are as follows: name's Paul, time 2:48PM in Valley Stream, NY. Overall, my chart is extremely powerful. You'll see a nice configuration involving aspects upon first glance. My "power house" is the 8th House (I have Mercury, Venus, and Mars there), and if you look closely, you'll see that my Moon in Aries is my personal planet, because it serves as a funnel. I have the classic "funnel chart", whereby my Moon is receiving all the energies from the other planets. There are so many trines involved.

And this is what needs interpreting:

GRAND TRINE ONE
Moon in Aries in 3rd House
Venus in Leo in 8th House
Neptune in Sagittarius in 12th House

GRAND TRINE TWO:
Moon and Neptune are as above
Mars in Leo in 8th House (and if you follow the logic, Venus and Mars are conjuncted together in my chart)

Now the 2 Kites come from the 2 grand trines above, with the addition of the Moon opposing Pluto in Libra in the 9th House (thereby having Mars, Venus, and Neptune all sextile Pluto)

Interesting make-up isn't it? There is so much power here and I have identified with it, but where can I make use of this energy? THAT'S THE QUESTION OF ALL QUESTIONS, and the key to unlocking my potential on this planet in this existence. Something tells me I can be an extraordinary psychic/magician, contacting divine entities and exploring unknown realms...or I can be a terrific actor.

Ok traditionally Taurus and Leo don't click. But the first moment we connected we knew it was forever, sounds cliche but we knew. Even if we ever do go our separate ways we will always be connected. We have known each other through many lives and will know each other again.

Also, where we met was interesting because it was a very reclusive country area. The people who lived in this particular area were about 80% 12th house sun people. I was told by my elder astrologer friend that 12th house sun people tend to be reclusive.

My husband have a very karmic relationship. I think we have worked hard to get to where we are in this life.
I would appreciate your ideas about 12th house sun.

i The year 1992 is significant because of the first cubewano object 1992 QB1 being discovered and delineated. The event triumphs with an unending string of transneptunian discoveries like Varuna, Ixion, Quaoar, Orcus, 2005 FY9 and Eris. The first KBO to be delineated are those with H < 5, besides a set of (comparatively small) “outer guardians” (as published within our Nibiru Research Project) and distant comets. The large comets like Wild (and Machholz) qualify as apocalyptic door openers.
iiThe protest was that the Moon is in fact not a planet. If we were to introduce all of the moons of the solar system, then our own Moon would fit in., The P and X zodiac marked as obsolete.

xi The Academic Zodiac context includes the concept of the local zodiac as applied to horoscopes of beings, born on other planets. The Night & Day house system was introduced as our direct answer to the challenge of a single house system that would answer the logical needs of the astrologer as well as serve as didactic platform for the initiate. The Night & Day house system reflects the observed sky. While this statement may seem blunt, it nevertheless encapsulates mysterious simplicity. Let us not forget that the WMAP cold spot is rising in Eridanus in the Night & Day house system and nowhere else in all astrology over the past 3000 years. Neither the Chinese nor the Sumerian ever had such a house system, albeit it is the most obvious of all, being the blunt refection of the skies as we observe them from this planet Earth. Something so simple is surely welcome into our own technical culture, especially as able to handle our next step. Which is our next giant leap forward as technical culture? The Night & Day house system is able to handle local zodiacs on spacecraft as fed by the board computer. In other words while obsolete house systems could not handle Oslo in Norway, we are able to process horoscopes at any speed in whatever alien galaxy. The first obvious improvements are of topocentric nature, namely the Night & Day house system is able to analyze the horoscope for an undersea quake, as well as set the houses for the birthplace of Dalai Lama. The Cartesian system works anywhere in the galaxy with equal precision. Altitude is an integral part of the horoscope, as it is based on topocentric standards as implied within the Cartesian system. Depression and altitude affect the position of the Moon as well as other factors in a horoscope, especially when extreme. This point was largely overlooked by amateur astrology programs, which never prompted the operator at entering the altitude of the place. Considering the major difficulties that a superstitious astrology had in the past 3000 years, we can bluntly state that altitude is a minor problem of the past, successfully solved within the Night & Day house system. The Night & Day house system is actually based on azimuth and altitude, as following the logick of the observer. When the Moon is conjunct Jupiter in Orion one can see it. Whatever is shown in the house system can be observed in the real sky. Prior to our house system one could not find any relationship with the real sky as astrology was rightfully considered blunder and superstition. The Night & Day house system is not in the least confined to planet Earth only. In extension, we were able to assign local zodiacs to all the planets of the solar system; in addition, experimental areas as ruled by the Earth coorbitals, outer guardians, dwarf planets or comets. Hey. I am new here...

I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me or would like to discuss my seriously dranged chart because my life is in a mess at the moment...

I have saturn scorpio conj pluto libra 12th house, asc scorpio, sun conj mercury pisces both square neptune both conj nadir, moon gemini square mercury, mars aries trine Jupiter uranus conj Saggitariius 1st house, and venus taurus trine neptune but opposing the saturn pluto 12th house rubble....

my north node is in Gemini 8th house, south conj neptune Sag 2nd house...

I had dyslexia as a kid and couldnt concentrate. I used to get this thing almost every night in bed, like, the room was expanding and collapsing at once, and at the same time it felt like I was inside an iron spiked ball, being crushed and yet being set free in it at once, all moving beyond the speed of light yet in total slow motion at the same time... I know! Doesnt make sense does it!?! But thats pretty much been my life. I mean, 2 years ago, I was walking back from a buddhist monastary in England through the country side, and I had the song by David bowie 'Quciksand' in my head, with which a good astrologer friend of mine had had a dream where he told me I needed to listen to that song. I had the lines "and I aint got the power...." in my head when a few feet infront a bird fell from a tree, splat. "Anymore"... the song continued. I walked over and the birds head was completely severed, no sight of it anywhere.. So freaky, so many things like that have happened to me....

Also, people have spoken about past life karma being really strong with saturn 12th house... Once while staying in that buddhist monastary, i saw this really twisted wierd entity I guess. It was like made of bone I think, and reflective. Its skull was quite pointed, like huge spikes, and it had a horrible grin, grinning at me, telling me I could kill, that I have tremendous power... I opened my eyes, and it seemed to co-ordinate energy with a monks chest infront of me and said I could make him have a heart attack, but I stoppped the voice thinking, this is nonsense! I wouldnt want to hurt anyone anyway! But, I guess that must be a part of me because then my heart started palpatating to the point I had to get out as i thought I was going to have a heart attack!....

But, its not all evil, I mean, while at the monastary, the same week actually, I was lying in bed, a strong natured strong willed black guy with passionate energy had been talkign about deep stuff, and I closed my eyes listening to the vibration of his voice, the images relayed through his mind to mine. Lights out and quiet, the room started spinning. To the point I felt like I was being thrust out of my body, out of the room, through the cieling, and I travelled through space, it seemed, past stars to the point they became a blur of white light, then it got so fast and powerful it was just one big blur of white light, then I was in the light, totally emersed. I lay there crying because it was so beautiful I felt loved unlike I had ever been loved before, it was like the most compassionate feeling I had felt...

Wow... I wrote all that?... anyway, Im a mess at the moment... Please feel free to comment on ANYTHING in ANYWAY....

Transiting Mars in the 12th house

For the next 40 or so days my transiting Mars will be in the 12th house. My motivation to do almost anything feels dead. I feel like just sitting in my chair and staring into space, and I'm suffering severe artist's block. Anyone have any tricks to deal with this? I'm glad I'm aware of it but it seems really powerful. Mars transits always seem to effect me very strongly (maybe it's because I'm a Capricorn and it's exalted in that sign?). I suppose that with Mars being in the 12th house I need to focus more on serving others and my spiritual pursuits. Looking forward to when this goes into my 1st house in mid August. This is a weird feeling. Any advice? Thanks!

My current beau has a Pluto in 12th house, and my previous boyfriends tend to have a Mars, Venus or moon in the 12th house. My own moon is close to the 12th house cusp but it nicely sextiles my sexy stellium at the midheaven. I have been told that I understand them and able to articulate their feelings where they have not been able to.

Hello 12th house members!

I have been reading your postings with interest and was hoping someone could help illuminate what my 12th house moon in taurus might mean for me. I have my sun in scorpio and 3 other planets in scorpio (almost all in the 6th house), but I also have my moon and rising in taurus. Someone mentioned dreams, which from the little I know about the 12th house made me think about my personal experience with dreams. Growing up I had an incredibly DEEP connection with my dreams, and became quite adept at dream analysis for myself and others. I really looked forward to waking up, the only downfall was that sometimes my dreams would seem more real than my reality. Then in my early 20's, not necessarily triggered by an outside event, I went through four years of extreme nightmares, and kind of severed my dream connection to deal with the incredible violence and fear my subconscious was spewing out. Luckily, the nightmares are gone but I miss the good dreams too. I am very interested in the subconscious mind, and feel that dreams are a window into our inner workings and the side of us that acts out of instinct/intuition. When I saw that I had a moon in the 12th house, I initially felt a little dismayed while also feeling that recognition of connection to the world in a way that not all others have. Anyway, I would love to get a little analysis on my chart if anyone is interested (so you know i have already looked it up on astro.com). My birthday is: 11/05/76, I was born at 5:33 pm (eastern time) in Summertown, TN, (lawrence county)

12th House Moon: Clamming up

Do other folks find themselves clamming up?

For the past year, I have been paying a lot of attention to my Lunar months (Returns... transits...) and what I can say is this: when the moon is moving through the nadir of my chart, I am more likely to need more alone time than I ever remember and I tend to clam up emotionally. It's nothing anyone outside me would even be able to see, recognize or put a finger on, but I do. It's like... when I am by myself, my thoughts and feelings are flowing evenly and in balance. Sure, they are a bit all over the place, lacking some discipline, but I am planning, you know? And then... for some reason I can't be alone... my partner wakes up and walks into the room... I feel myself withdraw and shut whatever I was thinking or feeling behind a door.

Well... maybe it is felt. Comes off like... I'm hiding or withholding something.

Anyone else with this experience?

... and yeah, Moon opposition Neptune doesn't help... the only way I have found to take it out of that space is to share with no one or *very* selectively. ... I am having one of those... you are messed up... moments. But really, I long to be like others. *grins*

Its only been the past 6mths that I feel Im coming into my own, if you know what i mean....
In my chart this house is almost divided equally between Libra and Virgo, with venus in Libra.... then I have sun, moon and mars in the eleventh.

My life has been pretty full on. Idealism, fantasy, divination, affinity with natural environments and the most dangerous, suffering years in addiction. I now abstain from any mind altering chemicals, including alcohol, as Im hyper sensitive to effects of these. So for the first time in my life Im slowed down enough, to actually be experiencing some consistent grounding, which is nice..

Recently I had some vibrational healing, and chakra balancing, which has led to practising yoga and meditation as well as eating more wholefoods and organic where possible.

Im also an 11 numerologically (2+9)

For the first time in my life I have absolutely no control over my life, every thing I do just turns to dust. I have no clue who I am any more and just want to stay in bed all day long, as nothin I do is worth anything.
I do know that I am a capricorn and right now saturn is still in my 12th house in virgo, but will not be in my 1st house until it is at 11 degrees virgo in August 2008. What the hell do I do now? I can't stand this any more and if something doesnt change for the better soon, I'm afraid I won't make it until August 2008. Any thoughts on how this placement might manifest in a person's spiritual and psychic development? I have natal Neptune in the 12th house, conjunct my ASC and trine Pluto. I've been having prophetic dreams since my early teens and as I've gotten older, they've become more frequent and prominent. I've also become much more intuitive and have had many accurate hunches as time passes.

If you're interested in the relationship between astrology and physical appearance check out ASTROFACES.com. It's a database that groups people according to their Sun/Moon/ASC with their mugshots. It's actually kinda eerie to see so many people who share the same placements with the same bone structure.

I've been using their database to help me guess people's signs more accurately. It's actually a study in progress and they can use as many photos as possible to make it work so PLEASE submit yours if you havent already...

Empty 12th house

This might seem like an ignorant question, but I know quite a few people who have populated 12th houses, but I don't anything in mine. What could that mean? I don't have anything karmically to accomplish? Surely the 12th can't be the only karmic indicator in a chart? I have a Gemini 12th, so I'm wondering if that means my undoing is "thinking too much?" And how does Mercury, found in Aries 10th/11th cusp, come into play with Gem 12th?

When his mother saw "the monster" she had given birth to, she abandoned him. Nonetheless, the little orphan grew up to be a master teacher of many subjects including astrology and medicine. He founded the first healing temple, The Chironium, at least a thousand years before Asclepius, purported to be the founder of Western medicine, founded the Asclepium. Thus, Chiron is actually the founder of Western medicine.

Chiron taught his students how to become "sacred warriors"; how to follow their quests and then go to death peacefully when the time comes. He taught his students how to access multidimensionality and balance polarization and duality. Today we might call such people "shaman," - Those who have learned to walk in other dimensions, work with duality, synthesize male and female, human and animal, mind and body, life and death.

Chiron, the Natal Chart and Tarot

In the natal chart, Chiron will point out where a person will suffer his or her "soul wound." The wound will be opened in order to gain the wisdom necessary to help heal self and others of physical or psychic pain. Barbara Hand Clow (and other astrologers) has heavily researched Chiron. She notes that Chiron squares, oppositions and returns are key life passages that will show where/when/how a person will be "wounded, healed or wound others."

Getting back to the Tarot, in Liquid Light of Sex, Barbara Hand Clow theorizes that there is no Tarot card for Chiron in the Tarot deck -- that Chiron is the Tarot card reader!! (Hand Clow also associates Chiron with Virgo and postulates that Chiron, not Mercury, is the ruler of Virgo.)

In The Tarot Book, Jana Riley, draws on previous research by Gary Ross, editor of the Tarot Network News, theorizing there are two new archetypes emerging -- or ancient ones re-emerging. Ross suggested these *new* archetypes have already been depicted via the *extra* cards in the Crowley - Thoth deck, where coincidentally, the artist painted and included two extra Magicians (Magus) cards! Ross speculated that the additional Magician in the Crowley-Thoth deck is 000-FUSION, relating to Chiron -- and the alternate Magus in that deck is 00-STARMAKER, relating to Persephone. If Ross, Riley and others are correct, this would result in there being 24 archetypes in the Major Arcana instead of the 22 Tarot professionals are familiar with.

I have come to believe that 000-FUSION in the Crowley-Thoth Tarot deck is indeed Chiron, making it Major Arcanum XXIII and that 00-STARMAKER is Nibiru (the 12th planet) and Major Arcanum XXIV.

That 000-FUSION of the Crowley -Thoth Tarot deck is Chiron resonates deeply with me. In The Tarot Handbook, Angeles Arrien shows the nine archetypal constellations of the Major Arcana found within the Tarot. For example, the High Priestess Constellation consists of 2 of Discs, 2 of Wands, 2 of Cups, 2 of Swords, II-High Priestess, XI-Lust/Strength and XX-Aeon. The universal shape, or matrix of the High Priestess Constellation is theThe Arrow, with the keywords sense of direction known, intention of hitting the mark. As far as I know, Arrien has no constellation to date that incorporates 000-FUSION or 00-STARMAKER. However, I propose that these additional constellations exist.

As the 23rd Major Arcanum, I propose that Chiron would be part of the Hierophant Constellation. This is the universal shape or matrix of The Staff or The Rod currently consisting (according to Arrien) of V-Hierophant, 5 of Swords, 5 of Cups, 5 of Wands, 5 of Disks and XIV-Art (Temperance). Placing 000-FUSION (XXIII-Chiron) at the top of the rod literally turns the constellation into a lightening rod (bridge) to higher consciousness! At the bottom of the rod is V-Hierophant symbolizing wisdom, teaching/learning challenges that are met internally and expressed externally when the principles of integration, synergy and alchemy (XIV-Art/Temperance) are at work. Art/Temperance is the union of opposition, polarity and paradox out of which a greater whole is created. Chiron, at the top is the focal point to accessing the transformational energies of Uranus and bringing them down the lightning rod into form. Five is the number of the bridge -- the connector -- of matter/form (Saturn) to spirit (Uranus) and vice versa. Interestingly, in the Native American Tarot, Arcanum V is the Shaman -- the master teacher of initiates and the healer. What is Chiron if not a healer and master teacher of initiates? So by accessing our wisdom (V-Hierophant) we learn to use the principles of integration, synergy and alchemy (XIV-Temperance), opening ourselves up to contact, receive and conduct (like a lightening rod) the healing energies of Chiron, thus transforming our lives.

I use the Crowley - Thoth and Native American Tarot decks extensively in my work. I have found that when 000-FUSION shows up in a reading using C-T, it is always indicative of the wounding/being wounded/healing Chirotic principle. The position of the card in the spread gives further insight. More recently, I have begun checking Chiron's placement in the natal chart, its house position and aspects, to give more information on the issue. (In such a reading, accurate birth time is critical.)

Chiron as the Soul Number in Tarot

Lately I have begun experimenting with the possibility that Chiron in other Tarot decks is the soul number of the person being read for. The soul number is deduced by taking the birth date and reducing it to a single digit. For example, January 3, 1970 would reduce to 1 + 3 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 0 = 2 + 1 = 3, or III-EMPRESS. Should III-EMPRESS show up in a spread I do for a client born January 3, 1970, I would evaluate III-EMPRESS from a Chirotic perspective as well as for its traditional meanings. If I am correct in my hypothesis that Chiron is represented by the soul number of the person being read for, Tarot readers who do not use the Crowley-Thoth deck could apply this technique to another Tarot deck they may use. When using other Tarot decks, I would also consider V-HIEROPHANT (SHAMAN) and XIV-ART/TEMPERANCE from a Chirotic perspective.

I also have impressions about 00-STARMAKER (Major Arcanum XXIV), but that is beyond the scope of this article. The Sumerians knew Nibiru as "the planet of the crossing." The essence of 00-STARMAKER is co-creation and working with the sixth dimensional energies (sacred geometry) to transform thought into (three dimensional) form. Working with 00-STARMAKER is much more intuition-dependent since Nibiru has not been *officially* sighted and no ephemeris exists for it. I am, however, leaning strongly towards Barbara Hand Clow's opinion that Nibiru rules Libra and the 7th House.

BTW, I believe that blending the disciplines of astrology, tarot and numerology is highly Chirotic and sooner or later, sustained and serious work with one of these systems will lead to exploration of the others.

Let me tell you my thoughts on the 12th house while I'm sobering up

Okay so I stayed up late and was drinking Jager... that shit is awful. Any way I want to write, and so what a great time to talk about the 12th house. In the most ambigous way possible... bear with me I'm tired and my logic probably won't be sequential.

Alright so a great example of the 12th house is how... alright, abused women (or men for that matter) often have a knack from fleeing from one abusive relationship and running right into the arms of another. These sorts can walk into a bar, and someone will glow to them, like emit this energy that will pull them in, and it just so happens that's the only abusive person in the whole goddamned bar.

The 12th house, to me...relates to the weird ways that our desires manifest themselves, and how we have a knack of pulling the things that we want to experience, even if we don't know what it is we're seeking. For the types that always draw drama, suffering and bad luck, often there is a sense of low self esteem, and a need for retribution for whatever the reason...rather than inflicting self abuse, such individuals will find others that embody these traits.

It's the natural inclination of people to get addicted to emotions... good ones, bad ones... what have you. We will use whatever life force we have to pull circumstances that enable us to feel those emotions.

12th house is about projection and mirrors, and how we learn about ourselves through the connections we have. In many ways, 12th house will often relate to how the issues within ourselves that we cannot deal with are projected onto others. We find the people that will be our demons.

Example I'm all too aquainted with, mars in 12th house. Before I realized what I was doing, I'd often find that my anger would always draw fights and accidents and shit. I realized I was pulling the circumstaces that enabled me to continue to be addicted to that life or death animalistic rage. I'd get jumped on the streets, I'd get into VIOLENT car accidents, or just freak accidents like falling on a steam vent and burning myself badly. I was never the one who started this shit directly, it was pulled to me via magnet, and once I realized exactly what I was doing... all the hot blooded shadows that haunted me dissipated, and since then my luck has been far more normalized.

The other thing about the 12th house is it represents complete diffusion as a soul in some respects. It depends what's going on in it, but the thing is a soul isn't going to just return to the energy source if it's too much of an individual, if its too connected to life, too selfish. In order to return to whatever the source material of energy is, one has to unravel... this can be done through many ways. Through making life so impossible to live via the misery and the self destruction we engage in that we commit sort of spiritual suicide by diffusing who we are and just shattering...or acheiving inner peace and enlightment and feeling so connected to everything, there is no seperation from self and others.

Through either trauma or peace, the soul loses it's concept of self and can be broken down into a raw pure form. This process is always difficult, regardless of the driving force.

Well...these are conclusions I came to wondering what happened when crack addicts die totally mentally fragmented. I couldn't imagine them being able to retain a strong enough sense of self to be reincarnated, so I figure they are just absorbed. The rest of the logic went from there. As we know, 12th house also deals with drugs, which again is something that makes what we are fuzzy around the edges, and after enough time can diffuse us unnaturally. Obviously the inner peace and meditation path is more conducive, and probably better for cleansing source energy... I'm gonna post this, if I feel like continuing I'll write more...

Tanya, everyone has the same complaints while experiencing their saturn returns.
By falling in your 12th house you are experiencing piscesian mentally stessful -like tugging and pulling at you because pisces opposes virgo (super galaxtic center).
Lounging around is not so bad, that is what pisces does best...because their mental abilities are what help them to survive.
You are simply hybernating until your inspiration comes, through dreams, meditational enlightenment even through seredipidus encounters.
My sun is in capricorn like yours but in my 5th/6th house cusp, which trines virgo.....and guess what pluto moved into our sun to give us the powerful motivation and boost to receive the next stages of life's challenges.
We capricorns have always been responsible for ours and sometimes close loved one's deeds. This saturn return is teaching us how to let go and let it be.....that's hard for me too.....trust the Universe (God).
What makes it seem worst, is that our annual solar and lunar eclipses fell in the mutible signs of pisces and virgo for 2 years straight.
You are going through the phenix syndrome of transformation and will emerge a different person.

both my sister and brother passed away in 2006 and in 2007--both deaths were strange and unexpected.
after they died, many unconscious and buried pains--horrifying memories from my childhood surfaced--
though have led the way toward greater healing and liberation--
a very intense experience... also a few unexpected hospitalizations...
which were probably manifestations of my psyche upon my body as i believe all is connected...

Neptune Transits (to natal Venus, Neptune, and Pluto)

Right now Neptune is making a lot of aspects to my natal chart:

1.) sextile natal neptune
2.) square natal venus
3.) trine natal pluto

I know that the transit with natal neptune and pluto are generational, and those are positive transits. The square to Venus (which is in scorpio-3rd house) should be negative, but I'm not really experiencing anything so bad. Maybe dreamy, and I did have a romantic experience when it first conjuncted that made me feel "dreamy" or whatever, but that's over now.

But for other people experiencing the transits to natal Neptune and Pluto (i.e., folks born in late 1980 or early 1981 I guess), do you feel anything from the Neptune transits? I'm having really strong vivid dreams, but that's about it.

In several months, there will be a square to our Uranus as well.

I was told I would be insanely psychic (I have begun to delve more deeply into astrology, etc and have had more 'clairvoyant' moments than usual).

...and Saturn almost. It's right on the cusp. I feel like I can't speak up. I have a hard time sharing my feelings and all this is in Virgo. So I feel like I have to be perfect. It's hard. I am constantly feeling like I can't show emotions or am scared to show my real ones. Also, I pick up on everyone's feelings around me so I assume I am wearing my feelings on my sleeves...Apparently everyone just thinks I am happy all the time. I hide negative feelings really well...

Sometimes I feel like I am stuck in a prison in my mind :(

I was wondering how the planets/ascendant of someone else falling in ones own 12th house has an effect,especially if there's planets or a stellum natally there? An example,being say my sun,mercury,mars and pluto 'fell' into anothers 12th house,while their ascendant was conjunct my 12th house venus,mars.I know for myself that I feel very uncomfortable and uneasy in a way I can't put finger on(when around anyone who's planets fall in my 12th).I may like them alot,yet can't feel trusting towards them in a general way.Has anyone else experienced this?

I've tried to find out information about this venus placement Leo & 12th house,
but I can't find anything on google!

So does anybody know what Leo in 12th house WITH Venus means?
I know Venus in the 12th house is a difficult position, but does Leo make it any easier or more difficult?
Venus in Leo means this:
